Genesis 32:24-26; Psalm 11:1
– It is common for us to have times when we want to give up.
– We can have good times and bad times, ups and downs, disappointments and enjoyment, joy and pain, even if we know God.
– Sometimes we can find ourselves in a dark place by ourselves, a place where it is hard to find good. God inhabits the dark places too.
– Day breaks in. It doesn’t just show up. (Pastor Jeff).
– When we feel like giving up, we need to grab hold of God. Once your hand becomes attached, it won’t let go.
– We have to have an inner conviction that we are not letting go.
1 Corinthians 10:13
– When we feel like giving up, BUT GOD is faithful.
– When that common temptation comes, remember Peter, ” Where are you going to go? Jesus has the words of life?”
– When that common temptation comes, remember Hagar,” Go back and submit.” Don’t run.
