Genesis 16:3-9, 21:16-19; Proverbs 28:1; John 4:4-5; Romans 8:35-37; James 4:7; 1 John 4:18; Luke 15:11-18
– The only true basis that we have that things will change is a Word from the Lord.
– It’s easier to run away from problems than face them.
– We think that if we run and hide, the problem will go away.
– When we try to run away from our problems, we end up in a bigger mess, we end up in the wilderness.
– Some of us run from problems with no destination in mind.
– God commands us to go back. Return, submit and go back with the right and different attitude.
– God has a Word for us just like He had a Word for Hagar.
We have to listen and stop running.
– We need to do what we can to face or problems, instead of running away.
– Once Hager returned and faced her problems, then she saw a solution.
– We have to stir up on faith.
– Resist the devil.
– We resist lies with Truth.
– Focus on God and not the problem.
– We have to take extra steps of faith when problems arise.
– We have to avoid doing the bad opposite of running away with our problem, and not get too familiar with it.
– Our problems will not get any better by running away from them or getting comfortable with it.
